In Honor of Darron, We're Here to Uplift Every Individual & Family

Our Story
Darron’s Rescue & Youth Center was founded in honor of my oldest son, Darron, who tragically passed away in 2021 after a long battle with mental health challenges and drug use. Like so many others, Darron struggled to find the support and resources he desperately needed to manage his mental health and overcome addiction. Despite his strength and perseverance, the lack of accessible care left him without the proper tools to heal.
In his memory, Darron’s Rescue & Youth Center was created to be the beacon of hope that was missing for him and so many others like him, particularly in communities of color and other underserved groups that are disproportionately affected by systemic inequities in mental health care, addiction treatment, and access to essential services.
Our center is also committed to addressing the growing crisis of gun violence in our communities. Tragically, gun violence has claimed the lives of countless individuals, particularly youth, and we believe it is crucial to offer support, prevention programs, and safe spaces for individuals affected by violence. Through community outreach, education, and advocacy, we are working to reduce gun violence and its impact on our communities.

Through collaboration, outreach, and empowerment, we aim to foster a nurturing environment that supports personal growth, self-sufficiency, and a stronger, more equitable community. We are committed to reducing gun violence through education, support, and providing safe spaces for healing.
